What Started as a Getaway Became a Place to Share
More than 20 years ago, a couple from Canada came to Costa Rica for what was supposed to be just another vacation. It didn’t turn out that way.
They fell in love with the contrast this country holds so naturally: the energy of the city, the calm of the jungle, the pull of the ocean, all within reach of each other. That balance stayed with them long after they flew home, and they kept coming back, winter after winter.
Eventually, visiting wasn’t enough. John wanted a home of his own in Costa Rica, a place to escape the long northern winters and return to the warmth he had come to love. That’s how it is that John found the spot that would become Mountain Vista, with the mountains of Escazú to the south and the Central Valley stretching out to the north. A view you don’t just see once. You remember it.
What started as a personal retreat soon became something John wanted to share. Today, Mountain Vista is the result: twenty years of love for Costa Rica, offered to you as if you were family.
